I read a book called Adventures in Tornado Alley by Mike Hollingshead and Eric Nugyen. The book was about two men (the authors) who are storm chasers. Storm chasers are people who go outside when a tornado is around and take photos of the storm for whatever reason. They usually have a team go with them so it's safe because we all know tornadoes are very dangerous and devastating. I liked the book it was good and informative a little boring at times though ✭✭✭☆☆(3/5 stars)To see a tornado click here Storm chasers see tornadoes like this everyday it's amazing how close they actually get. The hail inside a tornado can get up to the size of a softball!
I think Eric Nugyen and Mike Hollingshead wrote this book because they felt that they should educate people on what they do for a living because it's so interesting. Chasing tornadoes is dangerous and they also wanted to let us know that chasing tornadoes is for professionals.

What an amazing video. I can't believe that storm chasers willingly go into tornadoes and risk their lives. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow, your multimedia really brings the purpose of the book to life! I've never seen tornadoes this way. I've never even conceived that it was possible for people to go inside tornadoes! No wonder the storm chasers would need a ton of safety!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog. Like Ms.Laundon, I think that it's really cool that these people actually chase tornadoes and risk their lives for their career!
